• Africa for Import and Export was established in 1999 under governing laws, then consolidated with Africa for packaging and supplying chemicals in November 1999.
• Africa initiated to produce chemicals for local market.

• Africa for Import and Export was renamed to Africa for thinner industry and packaging.
• Africa initiated the production of its very first product.
• The technical works of Africa for thinner industry and packaging were diverse during late 2008 and beginning of 2010. Africa’s growing focus on technology has led to establishing an institution for research and development that helped to expand the innovation in solvents, especially thinner.
• Opening the new headquarters at New Damietta, Extension of Industrial Zone, Sector 7, Block 16.

2010 witnessed enormous challenges for marketing and distribution faced by businesses that involve high technology. Consolidations and acquisitions spread among companies, the competition intensified, and the challenges increased as well.

In due course, the company reconsidered its technology in chemical products, and began to conquer the local market presenting comprehensive integrated set of high-quality products. Africa best seized these opportunities through reconsidering its strategy in business aiming at improving the response to market requirements.

• Despite the financial crisis that badly affected most of industry and trading businesses in Egypt during 2011, Africa was one of the few companies that keep growing due to pioneering in solvents technology, especially thinner along with the constant focus on chemical industry (varnish, coatings and multi-purpose solvents)

In mid-2016, Africa for coating and solvent products developed a new technique in business tailored to provide the market with high-quality products according to the international standards, fully satisfy our customers, consider societies we’re working in and feel belonging to them within the frame of the company’s vision “Quality Comes First”. During this period, 17 different products, including types of thinner and different types of multi-purpose solvents, have ranked the top five in Egyptian market; other 12 products have ranked highly each in its industry. The high ranking of our products reflects the commitment of the company to regulations, decrees, governing laws and social obligations including improving social conditions, environmental protection and participating in cultural and sport events, Africa also participated effectively in marketing activities and fairs with coating and solvent products.
